The Nanny Collective processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to the Nanny Collective yourself when filling out a contact form or application form on our website. The Nanny Collective may process the following personal data:

We only collect children's personal data when necessary to provide our services and always with parental consent. Our services are intended for adults and families with children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without parental consent. If you are under 16, please do not provide any personal information without your parent's or guardian's permission. Parents or legal guardians must provide consent for the collection and use of their children's personal data."

2. Why the Nanny Collective needs your data
The Nanny Collective processes your personal data in order to be able to contact you by telephone if you request it, and/or to send you a written follow-up if you cannot be reached by telephone. In addition, the Nanny Collective may use your personal data in the context of executing an agreement concluded with you, usually consisting of the services that the Nanny Collective offers; making a correct match between a family and a nanny.
The Nanny Collective also processes your personal data for the following purposes:

To be able to call or e-mail you if this is necessary to be able to perform our services
To inform you about changes to our services and products
The Nanny Collective analyses your behaviour on the website in order to improve the website and to tailor the range of products and services to your preferences.
The Nanny Collective also processes personal data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data that we need for our tax return.
In addition, there is the data that the nannies need to be able to provide good care. Some of the personal data is required for this, such as your name, telephone number, address and specific data about your children. We only send telephone numbers and email addresses of the families to nannies with explicit permission of the families. In addition, the nannies also need data about the request for help and the home situation so that they know exactly what to do.
Some of the care information changes over time. The Nanny Collective and the nannies keep each other informed via WhatsApp and email. In this way, we ensure that everyone involved in the care of your children can be informed about how the days and/or nights are going and any potential risks can be identified.
The nannies are well instructed about what may and may not be communicated via WhatsApp. Therefore, no privacy-sensitive information will be included that is not intended to improve care.

3. How long the Nanny Collective stores your data
The Nanny Collective does not store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the goals for which your data is collected. For example, all personal data mentioned in 2. are stored for up to seven years after termination of the service and are thereafter deleted. Financial records are retained for 7 years to comply with tax regulations.
4. Sharing with others
The Nanny Collective only provides your personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of an agreement with you, or to comply with a legal obligation.
The Nanny Collective uses suppliers (named: Squarespace, Google Drive) who in principle also have access to this data; this is covered in processing agreements in accordance with the GDPR.
When personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place. These include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions, or other legally approved mechanisms. We regularly review our data transfer practices to ensure compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
5. Mapping website visits
General visitor data is kept on the Nanny Collective website, including the IP address of your computer, the time of the request and data that your browser sends. This data is used for analyses of visitor and click behaviour on the website. the Nanny Collective uses this information to improve the functioning of the website. This information is anonymized as much as possible and is not provided to third parties.

6. Google analytics
the Nanny Collective uses Google Analytics to track how users use the website. The information thus obtained, including the address of your computer (IP address), is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google uses this information to track how our website is used, to be able to provide reports about the website to the Nanny Collective and to be able to offer its advertisers information about the effectiveness of their campaigns. The Nanny Collective has not given Google permission to use Analytics information obtained via the Nanny Collective for other Google services.
We have enabled IP anonymization in Google Analytics and signed a Data Processing Agreement with Google. No personally identifiable information is shared with Google.
7. Viewing, modifying or deleting data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by the Nanny Collective, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we have about you in a computer file to you or another organization named by you.

8. How we protect personal data
The Nanny Collective takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. The Nanny Collective website uses a reliable SSL Certificate to ensure that your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands.
We implement technical measures such as firewalls and access controls, and conduct regular security audits. In case of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and authorities within 72 hours as required by law.
